FAQs about The Renaissance Arts Center & Theatre
The Renaissance Arts Center is conveniently located at 1200 East Center Street in Kingsport Tennessee. Visitors may easily access the facility from I-26, by taking exit 51, Wilcox Drive, and proceeding 3.1 miles to Center Street. At Center Street take a left and the facility is on your right as you top the hill.
- This is a gathering place where the community can celebrate creativity in personal and shared experiences of the arts.
- It’s an educational resource, serving all ages from pre-school to adult, enhancing arts education in schools and professional development for teachers;
- It’s an exhibit space for visual artists from America and beyond;
- It’s a multi-disciplinary complex offering theatre space, dance studio, meeting room and function spaces for the community-at-large.
The Renaissance Arts Center is home to The City of Kingsport Office of Cultural Arts, The Kingsport Senior Center, and a variety of nonprofit arts organizations including Engage Kingsport, The Symphony of the Mountains, Kingsport Art Guild, Kingsport Theatre Guild, KingsportARTS and the Suzuki Talent Association. The entire facility is handicap accessible.
